"It is in its simplicity that makes it so powerful" Jen Mac
If you are in your own personal hell; keep going!
Do you ever feel weighed down by emotions like anxiety, anger, or sadness? These emotional states can feel overwhelming and unshakable at times, but the truth is that you have the power to release them and create space for peace, joy, and empowerment. In my latest podcast episode, I dive into a simple yet transformative four-step process to help you release emotions that no longer serve you.
Let’s walk through the steps together:
1. Stop and Go Inward
When you’re caught in the swirl of emotions, the first step is to pause and turn your focus inward. Close your eyes, disconnect from the external chaos, and bring your awareness to how you’re feeling in the present moment. Allow yourself to truly feel the emotion without judgment. Recognize it, name it, and sit with it. This moment of mindfulness is the doorway to change.
2. Be Willing to Release the Emotion
Releasing begins with willingness. Ask yourself: Am I ready to let this go? You don’t need to have all the answers or know the exact "how." Simply deciding that you’re open to release creates a powerful shift in your energy. This willingness signals to your mind and body that you’re ready for transformation.
3. Visualize the Emotion Leaving Your Body
Now, picture the emotion leaving your body. Imagine it as energy flowing out of you and returning to Mother Earth. Perhaps it’s like smoke dissipating into the air or like a river carrying it away. Mother Earth is equipped to transmute that energy, so trust the process. Visualize yourself becoming lighter and freer with each breath as you release the emotional weight.
4. Breathe in a New, Empowering Emotional State
With the old emotion released, it’s time to welcome in a new state of being. Take a deep breath and imagine yourself inhaling feelings of peace, joy, love, or confidence—whatever empowering emotion resonates with you. Feel it filling every part of your body, from head to toe. Affirm to yourself that you are now embodying this new state.
This four-step process is a tool you can use any time emotional states feel overwhelming or heavy. It’s not about bypassing your emotions but rather acknowledging them, honoring them, and choosing to release what no longer serves you. As you practice this, you’ll find it easier to shift into states of alignment, empowerment, and clarity.

Remember: You have the power to feel how you want to feel. You are the creator of your emotional state, and every moment is an opportunity to begin anew.
